Common questions

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are welcome for copies, fax, photos and most office help. Notary services by appointment only. Our notary is not in every day — please call 718-880-4485 before coming to confirm availability. Other document services can be booked online.

Early, evening & Sunday appointments are available by request for office, travel, translation and DMV services. Call 718-880-4485 to check availability. A $30 deposit, credited toward your service, confirms your appointment. It is fully refunded if we can’t confirm your time or if you cancel at least 24 hours ahead. Tax, immigration, Medicare/health insurance and notary services are not available after hours. Notary visits never require a deposit.

What should I bring to get a document notarized?

A valid, unexpired government photo ID and the document, unsigned. You sign in front of the notary. A notary cannot give legal advice or tell you which document you need.

Can you get my U.S. passport for me?

No. We help you complete the application and take your passport photos. You submit the application yourself at an official passport acceptance facility, or by mail if you qualify for renewal by mail. Current government passport fees are listed on travel.state.gov and are paid separately from our service fee.

What is an apostille?

An apostille certifies a U.S. public document, like a birth certificate or diploma, so it is recognized in countries that are part of the Hague Convention. Many documents must be certified or notarized first. We help you prepare and send the request.

Can you help me with online applications and bill payments?

Yes. We sit with you while you complete online forms, accounts and payments. You keep control of your own passwords.

 

Do you check consulate requirements?

Yes. Before you travel or apply, we check the current requirements listed by the consulate or agency so your documents are complete. Final decisions are always made by the consulate or agency.

 

Can I get same-day service?

Yes. Priority same-day service is available for documents, forms and translation, at an added fee.
